Are You Ready for Battle

Their are 6 vital items the believer MUST put on every single minute of every single day. We need these items so that we can face the days trials and temptations. You can find these items in Ephesians chapter 6.
1. The Belt
2. The Breastplate
3. The shoes
4. The Shield
5. The Helmet
6. The Sword
My question to you is this: Have you put on the whole armor of God today? The Bible says our duty as Soldiers of the Cross of Christ is to: Endure, Persevere, Fight the good fight, Standing firm in the word of Truth. (2Tim 2:3-4) You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
These are 6 items that we are not to leave home without. The Bible says we are REQUIRED to put on the proper equipment in order to live the Christian life to its fullest, so that we can be ready for battle. Our battle is not among fellow Christian's, or with what is happening on this earth. Our battle is not of this earth. Who is it with then? Listen to Peter as he warns Christians of the battle that's before us (1Peter 5:8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. We so easily devour one another and forget who we are at battle with. So how do we be sensitive and alert, being at watch all the days of our lives. By putting on the required equipment that the Lord tells us to wear, so that we can stand and face the day that He has given us. We are to put on the WHOLE ARMOR of God. There at least 9 things that Satan wants to achieve in this battle against Christians
1. Satan attempts to challenge God’s character and credibility, just as he did to Adam and Eve.
Trying to make you distrust God. 2. Satan tries to undermine present victory by generating trouble that makes life difficult. Tempting you to forsake obedience to God’s standards and calling. 3. Satan attacks believers through doctrinal confusion and falsehood. Christian’s who are untaught in God’s word, become easy prey to wrong ideas about the things of God. 4. Satan attacks God’s people by hindering their service to Him. Satan opposes the faithful Christian.
5. Satan attacks believers by causing divisions. This is why its vital that we have unity among believers. 6. Satan attacks believers by persuading them to trust their own resources
Doing things in your own strength, I will do this or that. 7. Satan attacks believers by leading them becoming hypocrites, or two faced. One of his greatest successes is by populating the church with religious unbelievers who cause division among believers. 8. Satan attacks believers by leading them into worldliness. Enticing them to let the world squeeze them "into its own mold". 9. Satan attacks believers by leading them to disobey God’s word. The enemy encourages us to act unfaithfully. There are many other ways he attacks us! But if we do not put on the WHOLE Armor of God we are endangered of being destroyed. We are vulnerable and weak against his attacks. We must always be prepared for battle. John MacArthur says " it was William Tyndale’s vow that every English plowman and every boy that pulled a plow would one day be able to read and understand the scriptures, and to that end he devoted his life to translating it into the English language. It is essential for the Word of God to be known, and loved, and practiced if we are to win the battle against Satan. Are we ready for the battle today? Have you put on the whole armor of God to stand? The Apostle Paul said " Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: "FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER." Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom 8:35-39). Lets get serious about our Christianity and get ready for battle, because the adversary is roaming around seeking whom he may devour. So put on the whole armor, not just a few of the items, but all of them. So that you can have the victory for this day that the LORD has made!
