Romans 7:7-25 Holy law exposes the evil of sin and it  points us to Christ.  God uses a holy thing (Law) to reveal an evil thing (sin) so that a necessary thing (death) might result in the most important thing (life) .  Chapter 6 defends the grace of God and chapter 7 defends the law of God in the life of the church and the Christian life.  God has a standard of righteousness by which He measures character.  This standard is God’s holy law , which is given to us as a rule of life.  We are called upon to comply  with its requirements out of love towards the Godhead.  When we do this!
