  Acts 9:32-43 Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12.  While Jesus limited His earthly ministry mostly to Israel, His followers would take His message across the entire globe..  The "greater works " refer to the worldwide spread of the gospel and the conversion of souls enabled and awaken by the Holy Spirit.   The gospel is so powerful it completely changes you constantly every day, until you reach glory in Heaven.   The gospel continually gives us freedom from the past… The message of Christ frees us from old regrets, mistakes, and shame.  The gospel continually gives the power for the present… Daily grace gives us the strength to face unexpected challenges, and love others well without relying on our own exhausted performance.  The gospel continually gives us hope for the futu...

  Acts 9:20-31 Who do we find acceptable  to be apart of the church?  The simple answer to that question is everyone who truly believes in Jesus in accordance with the full gospel, belongs to God's worldwide family, the church.  There can be few things worse than someone needing help walking into a church and not being accepted by those who call church their home.  This happens more than you can imagine; the very institution that should be the most welcoming and accepting of people, can be the coldest and unwelcoming of people.  That’s because churches are made up of people, and people are broken .  Churches function as a place for broken people to seek healing rather than a gathering of perfect individuals.  People who are forgiven for their sins by a holy God through Jesus Christ alone.  People who hold the Scriptures alone as the highest authority over life and death.  People who are saved by grace alone and nothing else....
