How Long can you Hold your Breath?

How much emphasis do you put on Prayer? Is it your desire to pray to a holy God? Or do you say 'I don't really know and don't really see the importance of it". My brothers and sisters prayer is our every day breath. This is how we communicate to our sovereign God. We must stop holding our breath when it comes to the matter of Prayer.
Ask yourself: How long can you hold your breath? 5 seconds, 30 seconds, maybe 2 minutes. The Bible says we must continue, never ceasing, always praying. Prayer is of the utmost importance. If you are not praying, you are not living. John Piper says " if you do not love to pray, you do not love God". Our souls and the souls of others depend on this one privilege that the Lord has given through His Son's finishing work on the Cross. The veil is torn we must enter in. Here are 5 Truths to Help Us when it comes to the Matter of Prayer. Before we begin listen to what John Bunyan wrote about the significance of prayer for the believer "Prayer is a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God hath promised, or according to the Word, for the good of the church, with submission, in faith, to the will of God."
