Who's Your Father

".... Abba Father"

I sometimes wonder, and ponder the thought if people realize how important the Spirit of God is to the Believers conversion and life. Do we down play the importance of the Spirit? Do we belittle the Sovererign power of the third person of the Trinity? Do we forget the Spirit lives within us? Do we forget the love the Spirit had to draw us to the Father? Do we forget that the Spirit protects us from the evil that lurks around us? Paul said toTitus in his letter 3:4-7 "But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." Paul also said in Rom 8:9-18 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
We are debtors to the Spirit in our sonship (Our salvation is due the Holy Spirit through illumination of His precious Word
We are no longer debtors to the flesh in our sonship
(the lusts of this carnal world) The Spirit provides for the Christian energy and power to overcome the power and the temptation over the flesh
We are lead by the Spirit in our sonship
The Spirit directs or leads His children through each and every circumstance. The Spirit directs us through the Word. The Spirit helps us to Obey His divine Authority
We are made aware of our Adoption through the Spirit
We have the confidence through this adoption, (We cry out Abba Father) an intimacy for every believer my Daddy or Papa
We are secure in the adoption through the Spirit
We are heirs in our suffering through the Spirit
Suffering brings us assurance
Suffering brings us strength
Suffering brings us glory to God
Suffering brings us into the Family of God
We are son’s of the living God, our sonship is secure in the hands of a sovereign God,who we call "Daddy or Papa" Abba Father! Thank you Spirit of God for my salvation, and the salvation of all who repent and put their faith in the finishing work on the cross at Calvary. Please remember the Spirit is equal with Jesus, when He said "....My Father has been working until now, and I have been working." John 5:18
