  Intro into the Book of Ruth The Scriptures in reference to the Old and New Testament declare this truth,  Jesus said, “Bear witness about Me.” John 5:39   The Scriptures bear witness to the attributes of God. The Scriptures bear witness to the patience and mercies of God. The Scriptures are valuable and trustworthy for all generations, no matter what age you are or where you come from. The Scriptures encourages the heart to see God prevail and glorified even the toughest of decisions whether as a nation, at war, or whether you are alone. The Scriptures reveals the redemption plan of God for man though His Son. The Scriptures were written for our instruction and that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures that we might have hope.   The story of Ruth does exactly that;  it is filled with God-inspired hope.  Ruth is a story of the mundane life, no miracles, no prophets, no audible voice of God.  People who ...

  2 Peter 3:8-13   In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.  Genesis 1:1-5   The same God who created all things in six literal days is the same God who is coming back.  This is Peter’s hope as he reminds fellow believers to never lose focus; no matter how long it takes for Christ to gloriously return.  A delay in God’s action of returning calls for reassurance that the faithful have not been forgotten.   See!
