James 2:14-26 When Jesus came and saved our wretched souls something drastically happened to you and me!  What is it you might ask?  The believer has this new love or longing to express his or hers faith through some act of love.  The apostle Paul spoke of “faith working through love”.  What do I mean by this?  We demonstrate what we believe, not only by what we say but also by what we do.  The genuineness of our faith, therefore, is proven by our works.  Here is an example of that in action!  An associate of Wesley, Samuel Bradburn, was highly respected by his friends and used by God as an effective preacher. On one occasion he was in rather desperate financial need. James 2:8-13 Love and mercy , are two attributes and truths that my life and your life should be demonstrating to a world that is seriously: confused, mislead, delusional and intolerant towards truth and especially the true church and its gospel message of love, mercy, hope, restoration and forgiveness.  Unfortunately though! These two words are used wrongly and inconsistent to their true meaning. What do I mean by that?  There many slogans and cliché’s out when it comes to the word “Love”  The loudest one these past few months is “ LoveTrumpHate”  What I find ironic is the ones saying this statement are also saying…… “I thought about blowing up the White House”, Another one  “Barren (President Trumps 10yr old son) is going to be the next homeschooler gunman or another one said “a serial killer when he gets older.” Here is another one!  “I’m so angry I stitched this (meaning her protest sign” just so I could stab something 3000 times.”  ...

James 2:1-7 I want to start by reading a story that many in the Christian circle thought to be true, but according to “Snopes.com” a Fact Checking website determined this story to be a made up story.  Weather this story is true or not, the foundation of this story will make any Christian examine their life under God’s amazing grace as we come into James letter.  The story goes like this! A Pastor transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service....only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food... NO ONE in the church gave him change.
