GRIPPED BY THE GLORY OF GOD

BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD

  John 1:29-34   In one sentence we have the essence of the Christian message , “Behold the Lamb of God” (v29)   What do you think of when you hear that statement in the Scriptures? “Behold the Lamb of God”   I think of pain and suffering that would come to save a sinner like me. I think of my sin, and the ultimate cost it took to remove my sin. I think of the glorious Christ, that saved me from the death that I deserve. I think of what an amazing God, whose love is unending to love the unlovable. I think of overflowing grace and His love towards a, once rebellious sinner like me. I think of the joy it fills my heart in the midst of the chaos that gets us through the day to day. I think of the humility in the person of Jesus, who came to do the Father’s will to save many.   See we “behold the Lamb of God,” when we take up our crosses daily, as God instructs us, and to follow Christ.   I’m reminded of that hymn……. “Th...
