WHAT JUSTIFICATION PRODUCES

  Rom 5:1-5   Our justification results in a peace with God, through the gospel of His Son.   Contrary to the Roman Catholic Church… for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ, do not have a prolonged wait for their justification .  We receive Christ’s righteousness at the point of our conversion in the gospel confession. (v1)   “Since we (those who) have been justified” referring to a past action that was finished in Christ, we receive the moment we believed.  The first four chapters are for everyone , but this chapter is for someone. (The child of God saved by His grace.)   It’s through Jesus Christ that we are bound to the eternal hope and peace that we have in our gospel confession in our justification.  There is now a peace as a result of our justification .  And the human quest for peace is an ever-ending journey for millions of people.  Many seek this peace and even claim they have this peace, when there ...

SALVATION BY DIVINE POWER NOT BY HUMAN EFFORT

  Rom 4:1-23   “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” Romans 3:23-26   There are three major words related to what happens in salvation.  Propitiation…… is averting the wrath of God by the offering of a gift.  Redemption….. an act of redeeming or atoning for sin.  Justification…. legal declaration in which God pardons the sinner of all his sins and accepts and accounts the sinner as righteous in His sight.  And Paul proves this point by calling upon the most esteemed figure in Judaism, and that is Abraham .  A man who was...
