Battle Of Words

James 3:1-12 No matter where you live, no matter what you do every day, there is one thing we do all day long!  Can you guess what that is? You talk!  From the time you say “its morning already” to “Good night” you are constantly moving your mouth throughout the day.  Think about it! You talk in the bedroom, bathroom, hallway, kitchen, the garage or the man cave, you talk at work, school, when you eat and so on….all we do is talk, talk, talk.  It’s interesting to note that communication is one of the things that separate us from the rest of creation.  For some communication would be better if you didn’t talk at all, and for others they can’t live without talking.  We are a people who talk and that can be good thing, but it also can be a bad thing.  Prov 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”   What the Writer is saying is this “Words kill, words give life; they’re eithe...
