John 13:31-35 The greatest outward expression we can do as Christian’s is to display the inward change of the heart.   The heart will always be the visible mark for others to see, who we truly belong too. See, what comes from the heart will always express the true intent of a person's motives, whether by their words or their actions!  It has been said by many “At no other time in the history of Christianity did love so characterize the entire church as it did in the first three centuries. Eph 6:4 I came across yet another sad story of many this past week, that say about the same thing when it came to the question……. What do you remember about your father?  Here’s one answer that really grieved my heart as I was preparing for this Sunday…a time when we reflect on the dads. "A young man was to be sentenced to the prison. The judge had known him from childhood, for he was well acquainted with his father--a famous legal scholar and the author of an exhaustive study entitled, "The Law of Trusts." "Do you remember your father?" asked the judge. "I remember him well, your honor," came the reply. Then trying to probe the offender's conscience, the judge said, "As you are about to be sentenced and as you think of your wonderful dad, what do you remember most clearly about him?" John 13:18-35 Night time usually brings out the worst kinds of people……I remember as a kid growing up, watching my dad as he strap his police gun belt around his waist to go out   for another long night to serve and protect!  I remember he used to say to me before heading out in his police car “it’s a dark and hot out there which means, all the wacko’s will be out tonight, so stay indoors for mother”.  Now my dad knew, and we know, that isn't always true or the case when its hot and dark out…...but we can all agree, their usually a greater evil that presents itself more freely in the darkness. But think about this for a moment as it pertains to the scriptures.  DARKNESS in its proper context usually represents unbelief, sin, and evil according to the bible.  Which usually is associated with death, ignorance, and those things which are sinful and bad; it describes hard or stiff-necked hearts which is an accusing, justifying, unchildlike ...

John 13:1-20 A merchant, who had been a very worldly, godless man, was hopefully converted. On being asked what had been more especially the means of his conversion, he replied, "The example of one of my clerks." He went on to say that this young man was one "whose religion was in his life rather than in his tongue. When I uttered an oath he never reproved me; but I could see it deeply pained him. When I fell into a passion and behaved in a violent manner, though he spoke no word to that effect, I could see how painful the scene was to him. My respect for him led me to restrain myself in his presence, and gradually to break off both these habits. In fact, this man, though he never spoke a word to me on the subject of religion, exercised an influence for good over me, wielded by no other human being. To him, under God, I am indebted more than to any other, for the hope in which I now rejoice of eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ."  Sometimes...

Lam 3:22-23 “God’s consuming wrath!”  This is a sobering thought, especially when read this portion of Jeremiah's letter! It’s ONLY because of His mercy we are not consumed!  “Consumed” by definition is “to eat or drink up; devour, to destroy, as by decomposition or burning.  “Wrath” by definition is “violent anger; passionate or violent fury. When I think of those two words put together in the same sentence I’m reminded of the event between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. The bible tells us about an event in history where God displayed His amazing powers over fallible man and the god they created in their image. The battle to see whose God is better and more powerful! (1 Kings 18:20-39).  The only person you know who has the qualification to consume anything is God himself! Not only does He have the right to consume, but He also has the right to show grace where  He chooses………..He alone is 100% faithful 100% of the time. As P...
