THE HEART OF PRAYER THAT IS ACCEPTABLE
Prov 15:8 You could ask yourself this question as we approach this text of Scripture this morning. “What am I, what is my service when upon my knees before God? Is it an abomination or is it a delight before Him? This is a serious question because man judges by acts and outward appearances, but God does this by principles. What does your heart reveal when you approach Him through the means of prayer. How can a sacrifice be wicked, be an abomination to God? When know throughout the Scriptures that sacrifice is important on to the LORD. Mosaic Law outlined a system of sacrifices for atonement, thanksgiving, and dedication. Common offerings included burnt offerings, grain offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, and trespass offerings. These were a way for ancient Israelites to express worship, seek forgiveness, and maintain their relationship with God.
