  John 8:48-59   Ever since Satan’s initial rebellion, Satan has tirelessly waged war against God and His servants. “How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘ I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God. I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north;  I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.” Isaiah 14:12-14   As we read here this conflict began in heavenly places and then brought to the earth as he entered the garden to temp Adam.  Since then, the Devil has done everything within his extensive, though limited power, to hinder God’s purposes and obscure God’s message.  And though God is victorious, Satan continues the spiritual battle rages on to destroy and bury the message of God.     Throughout history men of God have defended the truth of the scriptures, fa

  John 8:37-47   When I think of the word “father” I think of: strength, honor, courageous, security, a leader, discipliner, and even a hero who come to save the day.  See, a father is someone you’re supposed to trust, who will protect, nurture, love, guide, tell dumb jokes that make their kids cringe.  He’s to be an example, imperfect as he is, but an example to his family.  A godly father should raise and leave a legacy of godly men and women in a society of open sin and rebellion, as the Proverb says “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Prov 22:6   Sadly though, it is possible for a father and son not to truly be father and son.  It’s possible, despite your efforts for your son not to follow you in the same path as it pertains to your spiritual direction and life.  People around the world continue to relish, or fall, to lies of this world; and never realize their error until it’s too late.  You take the formula of m
