James 3:13-18 Our lives in general are filled with many challenges, trials and temptations. And it’s for this reason James addresses issues of wisdom, friendships, and speech, showing us how faith in Christ certainly affects our ordinary, mundane, everyday life in this world.  We have been looking at how powerful this little letter speaks directly to heart of a professing believer.  There is no beating around the bush…he gets right to the point and the concerns that face the Christian faith. James 3:1-12 No matter where you live, no matter what you do every day, there is one thing we do all day long!  Can you guess what that is? You talk!  From the time you say “its morning already” to “Good night” you are constantly moving your mouth throughout the day.  Think about it! You talk in the bedroom, bathroom, hallway, kitchen, the garage or the man cave, you talk at work, school, when you eat and so on….all we do is talk, talk, talk.  It’s interesting to note that communication is one of the things that separate us from the rest of creation.  For some communication would be better if you didn’t talk at all, and for others they can’t live without talking.  We are a people who talk and that can be good thing, but it also can be a bad thing.  Prov 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”   What the Writer is saying is this “Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit….you choose.”  Our sp
