It Begins with This

Paris Reidhead said “If I had my way, I would declare a moratorium on public preaching of ‘the plan of salvation’ in America for one to two years. Then I would call on everyone who has use of the airways and the pulpits to preach the holiness of God, the righteousness of God and the law of God, until sinners would cry out, ‘What must we do to be saved?’ Then I would take them off in a corner and whisper the gospel to them. Such drastic action is needed because we have gospel-hardened a generation of sinners by telling them how to be saved before they have any understanding why they need to be saved.”

So Very True

John MacArthur says "If church history teaches us anything, it teaches us that the most devastating assaults on the faith have always begun as subtle errors arising from inside the body itself. Living in an unstable age, the church cannot afford to be vacillating. We minister to people desperate for answers, and we cannot soft-pedal the truth or extenuate the gospel. If we make friends with the world, we set ourselves at enmity with God. If we trust worldly devices, we automatically relinquish the power of the Holy Spirit".

Joel Osteen Closes Out 2007
Published December 31st, 2007 by Editor in Word Faith, Mormonism, Joel Osteen

A reminder from FIDE-O, a fine work in the Lord, that Joel Osteen has given his blessing to the non-Christian cult of the Mormon Church by saying that they are indeed Christians. This in spite of their blasphemous view of Jesus Christ which says He was the first born spirit child of God through His polygamous sex with one of His goddess wives and that Christ Jesus is the literal brother of the Devil.

It's by Faith and Faith Alone

Why Did God Decide to Save Us Through Faith?

From christianreasearchnetwork.com

For this reason Christ was born and in the video clip below John Piper tells us salvation is easy to receive if we just let God be God:
one reason that faith is the way God saves us is that faith gives glory to God. That is, faith calls attention to and magnifies the glory of God. Faith puts us in the position of weak and dependent and puts God in the position of strong and independent and merciful. So faith is essential to displaying the glory of God.

Our Christmas Miracle (Luke 1:39-48)

What does the virgin birth mean to you this Christmas Season?
By Mike Andrews

Think about for a moment

When we read in scripture about the coming Messiah.
That He will come in the form of a man through a virgin woman (young lady), by the holy Spirit

What comes to mind!

We look at these passages in our casual reading

But do we really sit down and ponder what is about to happen

We really need to stop and understand the significance
About this blessed event in History

This event is so vital and important that its mentioned
Throughout scripture

Moses said the Lord “.....will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel." (Gen 3:15)

Isaiah said “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isa 7:14)

Jeremiah said “How long will you gad about, O you backsliding daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the earth— A woman shall encompass a man”. (Jer 31:22)
Then we see in the New Testament

Matthew said to Joseph " and she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus..." (Matt 1:21)

Paul says “God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, (Gal 4:4)
Why do I say that!

Ever since Moses proclaimed this truth

It s been our hope
Our peace
Our restoration
Most of all our Joy of salvation

Oswald Chambers said Jesus Christ became Incarnate for one purpose, to make a way back to God that man might stand before Him as He was created to do, the friend and lover of God Himself.

"Blessed are you among women" (v42)

A woman chosen by God

In the Hebrew this statement means

"You’re the most blessed of all woman"

(Luke 1:28) And having come in, the angel said to her, "Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!"

The angel said “highly favored one”

Literally means full of grace

This is the same meaning
for anyone that calls upon the name
Jesus and believes by faith

Paul says we are favored, make accepted by the Lord,
full of grace

(Eph 1:6) to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
We are accepted

Full of Grace
Found favour in the Beloved (Jesus Christ)

Elizabeth was praising the LORD

Not only for being with child
herself at such a late age

But praising the Lord in the Holy Spirit

Elizabeth was telling Mary that she was most blessed

She was going to give birth to the greatest child ever

Our Lord Jesus

So great! people noticed
when they were in Jesus’ presence

(Luke 11:27) And it happened, as He spoke these things, that a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, "Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which nursed You!"
This virgin birth is so much more than a miracle

Its our Life!

Without it I am doomed and so are you!

Faith is a must in order to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ

Nothing else matters
but this One thing

Remember what Jesus said to Peter

Do you love me" (John 21:15-17)

Trust me by faith

Put your hand here Thomas
Trust me by faith

Elizabeth is going to have child in your late age

"Blessed is she who believed..." (v45)

Mary you are going to have a Child

"Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." (v38)

A faith that beginnings by
believing in the virgin birth

Mary understood this blessing that
Elizabeth was speaking in the Holy Spirit (v41)

Why do I say that? Mary speaks of this great blessing she has inside of her

“My soul magnifies the Lord (v46)
My soul is saturated with the Lord

“My spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior” (v47)

This is showing her need for a Savior

Mary also goes on to say

He is Love “regarded the lowly..” ( me a maidservant) (v48)

He is Mighty “has done great things for me” (v49)

He is Holy “holy is His name” (v49)

He is Mercy “to those who fear Him” (v50)

He is Sovereign “strength with His arm” (v51)

He is Righteous Judge “He has scattered... He has put down... He has exalted the lowly” (v52)

He is Provider “filled the hungry with good things” (v53)

He is the Finisher of our Salvation “He has helped His servant Israel... “ (v54)

That’s why John leaped in the womb!

Redemption is here

Prophecy has been fulfilled

The Seed has come to crush Satan and his fallen angels

Immanuel (God is with Us) has finally come to deliver Us!

The virgin birth is essential to the Christian Faith

1. If this revelation is rejected, then any other Biblical fact may be rejected
2. If the virgin birth is rejected, the deity or humanity (or both) of the Savior must also be discarded.
3. If the virgin birth is not true there is no valid salvation
4. If the virgin birth is not fact, then the doctrine of the incarnation, as revealed in scripture, cannot be accepted
5. If the virgin birth is not valid, man is without hope in time and eternity
6. If the virgin birth is error, other doctrines lose meaning and purpose

But we know through scripture
how important this virgin birth is

Elizabeth said to Mary "as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ear, the babe leaped in my womb for joy..."

Are you leaping for Joy this morning?
Does you soul magnify the Lord this morning?

Are you praising Him for finding favour in you ?

Are you thankful for that wonderful Christmas gift?

That gift is?

Salvation in the One true King

John MacArthur says "If we could condense all the truths of Christmas into only three words, these would be the words: "God with us." We tend to focus our attention at Christmas on the infancy of Christ. The greater truth of the holiday is His deity. More astonishing than a baby in the manger is the truth that this promised baby is the omnipotent Creator of the heavens and the earth!
Merry Christmas from the Andrews Family
My hopes and prayers is that
He is your joy and gift this Christmas Season!

A Wonderful Poem. The question is are you ready?

Twas The Night Before Jesus Came
Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the houseNot a creature was praying, not one in the house.Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without careIn hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crawl into bed,Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head. And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lapWas watching the Late Show while I took a nap.
When out of the East there arose such a clatter,I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.Away to the window I flew like a flashTore open the shutters and threw up the sash!
When what to my wondering eyes should appearBut angels proclaiming that Jesus was here. With a light like the sun sending forth a bright rayI knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!
The light of His face made me cover my headIt was Jesus returning just like He saidAnd though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in his hand,Was written the name of every saved man.He spoke not a word as he searched for my name; When He said, “It’s not here” my head hung in shame.
The people whose names had been written with love,He gathered to take to His Father above. With those who were ready He rose without a soundWhile all the rest of us were left standing around.
I fell to my knees, but it was too late;I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.
In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near. There’s only one life and when comes the last call,We’ll find that the Bible was true after all!

Rick Warren Councils Jewish Leaders On How to Recruit Congregants

This story from the Christian Post is just mind boggling.

It says: "Megachurch pastor Rick Warren attended a large Reform Jewish gathering last week to share tips on how to build a community....
The “Purpose-Driven” pastor spoke to thousands of Jewish leaders Thursday night at the Union for Reform Judaism’s biennial convention in San Diego.
With the holiday season in mind, Warren urged clergy to take advantage of crowded events to publicize other programs so people can get involved in the community through smaller groups.
“There are some principles that apply regardless of our faith, if it’s Jewish or Christian,” he said at the convention....
After Warren spoke a few minutes at the podium, he sat alongside two popular Southern California rabbis for a casual talk about strengthening congregational life."
Are we missing something here? We've been working from the notion that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way of salvation and that we as the church are called to make disciples through the preaching of Christ Crucified for sinners. With that being the case, we don't see any freedom given by God in His Word for a Christian pastor to help Jewish synagogues recruit people.
Have we completely missed the boat here? Are non-Christians now saved? Is the only thing that matters to God is that people go to "A" house of worship regardless of whether it is Christian, Jewish, Muslim or 'other'?
How is what Rick Warren did NOT a complete betrayal of Jesus Christ?

K. P. Yohannan a great man of God

One of the most impressive blessings in America is religious liberty. Not only do Christians have access to radio and television, unheard of in most nations of Asia, but they are also free to hold meetings, evangelize, and print literature. How different this is from many Asian nations in which government persecution of Christians is common and often legal. . . . Coming from India, where I was beaten and stoned for my faith, I know what it is to be a persecuted minority in my own country. When I set foot on Western soil, I could sense a spirit of religious liberty. Americans have never known the fear of persecution. . . . From India, I always looked to the United States as a fortress of Christianity. With the abundance of both spiritual and material things, affluence unsurpassed by any nation on earth, and a totally unfettered church, I expected to see a bold witness. God’s grace obviously has been poured out on this nation and Church in a way no other people ever have experienced. Instead I found a Church in spiritual decline. . . . These people, I knew, were capable of so much more. They were dying spiritually, but I knew God wanted to give them life again. He wanted His Church to recover its moral mandate and sense of mission. . . . God did not shower such great blessing on this nation for the Christians to live in extravagance, in self-indulgence, and in spiritual weakness.
